Features Of Screw Pump

Compared to vane pumps, screw pumps have the following advantages:
① Low speed (usually 20r/min~90r/min), low mechanical wear, and no cavitation.
② The flow channel is wide and can transport water containing solids.
③ The pump body structure is semi open and the operation inside the pump can be observed.
④ The suction side flow pattern has little impact on hydraulic performance, and there are no special requirements for the suction pool. The foundation excavation depth is small, the construction of hydraulic structures is simple, and the civil engineering cost is low.
Its drawbacks are:
① Large in size and occupying a large area.
② Due to the limitations of mechanical processing conditions, the pump shaft cannot be too long, resulting in a lower head, generally not exceeding 10m.
③ The height of the suction and discharge surfaces should not change too much, otherwise it will affect work efficiency and increase energy consumption.
